On February 1st 2018, a 35-year-old Christopher Ryan Perski of Manistee was arraigned in the 85th District Court by the Judge Thomas Brunner.
Perski is charged with:
home invasion 1st degree
receiving and concealing a stolen firearm
possession of a firearm by a felon
receiving and concealing stolen property greater than $1000 but less than $20,000
These charges stem from a home invasion incident which occurred on January 24th 2018 in the 400 block of 3rd St. The maximum penalty for Home Invasion 1st Degree is 20 years and/or $5000. Perski is being held on a $75,000 cash or surety bond.
The investigation continues into the home invasion in the 400 block of 2nd Street In which an unknown man wearing a mask and dark clothing, approximately 5’ and 5’3 tall, forced entry in a residence with a handgun and demanded cash of a 75-year-old victim.
The Manistee Police Department reminds citizens to “See something, say something.” Crucial information was gleaned from an astute citizen during the investigation that was instrumental in the Perski case.
