Ludington Lawsuit

A press release from the City of Ludington, states that the City Council has approved the settlement of a lawsuit filed by Tom Rotta regarding the City's Workplace Safety Policy.

Rotta filed the lawsuit when he was issued a Letter of Trespass, preventing him from coming into City Hill without prior notification. The letter was issued because some employees felt threatened by Rotta. The City decided to settle the case for $15,000 because of the high costs associated with legal expenses if taken to trial. Ludington denies any liability or wrongdoing and states that they will continue its commitment to protect its employees.
