At 7:07 pm on Monday, December 14, 2015 a house fire at 302 N. Rowe St. was reported to Mason-Oceana 911. The Ludington Fire Dept. responded to the scene. After getting the fire knocked down the firefighters searched and located a female subject laying in the living room of the front apartment and a male subject laying in the bedroom. Both victims were removed from the apartment and treated at the scene and then transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
The male occupant of the apartment, BENJAMIN WOLFF, 29 years old, was pronounced dead at S.H.L.H. shortly after 8 pm. An autopsy is scheduled for Today, 12-15-2015 to determine the cause of death. Mr. Wolff’s family members were notified by L.P.D.
The female occupant, PAMELA ARTHUR, 46 years old, was transported to a hospital in Grand Rapids, MI in critical but stable condition.
The Michigan State Police Fire Investigator-Trevor Slater will conduct an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire today.
Detc. Wells and Ofc. Sailor of the Ludington Police Department are responsible for the follow-up investigation.
