Light Up The Sky 5K Fun Run

The Light Up The Sky 5K Fun Run will take place Saturday, September 21st at Stearns Park.

Registration begins at 5pm with the fun run starting at 6pm.

Cost to participate is $25 if you preregister by September 15th or $30 the day of the race.

The Light Up The Sky 5K Fun Run is to benefit Staircase Youth Services.

Scrub-A-Dub Dinner

The Scrub-A-Dub Dinner & Live Auction will Saturday, October 5th.

This event is a fundraiser for a new dishwasher for the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

Social hour begins at 6:30pm and the dinner is at 7pm.

The cost is $50 for LACA members and $60 for non-members.
Tickets are limited so make your reservation by September 25th.

Pentwater Home Tour

The popular Pentwater Home Tour will be Saturday, October 12th. 

The tour will be held from 10am to 4pm in Pentwater.

This is your chance to experience the charm of Pentwater by visiting 8 historical homes. 

 

Tickets with maps are $15 and can be purchased at the downtown Pentwater Chamber Office and they will be at each home and in front of the Hancock building on the day of event.

 

There will also be a used book sale and a 50/50 drawing with tickets on sale on Hancock. 

 

Troyer Memorial Fundraiser

A Troyer Memorial Fundraiser will be held Saturday, October 12th
at 8380 S. Tyndall Rd. in Carr Settlement, from 10am to 4pm.

Entrance fee is $5 per family.

There will be a spaghetti dinner following the event from 4:30 to 7pm at Carr's Hall.
Price is $10 per plate and kids 12 and under eat free.

The event will include camel rides, pony cart rides and horse drawn hay rides.

Autumn Days @ Historic White Pine Village

Autumn Days

an annual fall event on October 11th and 12th from 10am to 5pm, each day

All of the village's 30 museum sites and building will be open. 
Activities include the operation of hayrides, farmhouse cooking, one-room schoolhouse mini-sessions, and much more.

Admission price for Autumn Days is $11 for adults, $6 for kids, 5 and under are free, and $29 for whole family.

The village will close for the year on October 12th. Until that time, it is open Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 5pm.

Discovery Club

Children in 2nd through 5th grades are invited to join Discovery Club at the MCDL in Ludington, the first Wednesdays, every month, at 4pm. Retired teacher, Kathy Radtke, will lead students as they explore the world through books, games, art and other activities. This school year's theme is Discovering Michigan.

On Wednesday, November 6th, learn the story of the SS Badger Carferry and help create a huge mosaic wall mural. Each participant will receive a bag of treasures from the Lake Michigan Carferry Service.

Snacks will be provided.
This program is free and children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult

Family Movie Night

Friday, November 8th at 7pm.
"Monsters University"

Please bring a blanket or sleeping bag and pillow. The movie will be shown in the gym on the big screen. 
Doors open at 6:40pm.

There will be nachos, candy, water, popcorn and juice boxes available for purchase. A can good or non-perishable food items is requested for admittance with all items being donated to the Bread of Life Food Pantry. The DVD will be raffled off at the end of the showing. All proceeds from concessions will go towards a new movie license for the school year.

Benefit Softball Tournament

A Benefit Co-Ed Softball Tournament will be held November 9th and 10th for the Lake Family.

There is a $100 fee, per team, and all proceeds will go directly to the Lake Family Benefit Fund that has been opened at the West Shore Bank.

There will be a concession stand with items to purchase and items to raffle off.

a charity cornhole tournament to benefit CURE and fund epilepsy research

There is at $25 minimum donation to pre-enter, or $30 at the door.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for $12. 
The dinner will include a 50/50 drawing, turkey raffle and music by John Pomeroy. The public is welcome to attend.

All wreaths are made from fresh-cut Michigan evergreens.
