Gas prices increase for the first time in five weeks.
According to the current report released by AAA Michigan, prices rose two cents. As of Sunday, the state-wide average price for unleaded gas was $3.51. However, even with the increase, prices are still 17 cents less than they were a year ago. Compared to other states, Michigan has had the largest decreases in cost of gas over the past month. AAA Michigan says the falling prices are due to an abundance of refinery production and stable international oil markets.
