No More Driver Responsibility Fees in MI

Driver responsibility fees will come to an end in Michigan. Governor Snyder signed a law to eventually get rid of the fees imposed on people for certain driving offenses. Offenses include drunk driving or driving with a suspended license. Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says the fees are a "double penalty" for people who already have to pay additional fines. Residents can expect to see fees lessen through the years until they are completely eliminated by October 2019.
