Education Bill Signed

Schools in Michigan will receive more money.

Governor Snyder signed a $15 billion education bill which will give money to k-12 schools, universities and community colleges for 2014-2015. This will provide an extra 50 to 175-dollars per student in grades K through 12, throughout the state... and an extra six-percent for colleges. The budget also requires that the MEAP exam stay in place instead of switching to a Smarter Balanced test.
