Police believe they have a motive for the fatal shooting of a Muskegon Heights teenager.
According to Mlive.com, authorities think 17-year-old Marquis Gresham was an innocent bystander caught in a "payback" situation. A detective for the Muskegon Heights Police says it was an ongoing fight between two different groups. Police have arrested Ryheim Rashawn Beasley for murder and was charged yesterday afternoon. He was already in the Ottawa County Jail for lying to police. Another man, Shundarius Lawson has also been charged with open murder. He was the passenger and shooter in the vehicle. Gresham was walking to a school banquet when he was killed in the drive-by shooting, last month. He died shortly afterwards at the hospital.
