February Unemployment Rate

Job creation increases but the unemployment rate rises in the U.S.

The Labor Department released the figured for February on Friday. According to the report, 175-thousand new jobs were created last month -- the largest in three months. However, the unemployment rate rose from a five-year low of 6.6% to 6.7%. Despite the increase, Friday's figures show a sign of hope because only 150-thousand new jobs were predicted by Economists due to the recent harsh weather conditions. The report also suggests that employment growth is expected to accelerate further in the coming months.
