New Open-Carry Proposal

A new proposed legislation regarding carrying concealed weapons, in Michigan, would give special permission to victims of domestic violence.

The House bill, which also protects stalking victims, was introduced on Thursday by a Saginaw Township lawmaker. Under the potential bill, anyone who needs to take out a restraining order to protect themselves from violent crimes would be allowed to carry a concealed weapon in a "gun-free zone" such as a school or a bar. The bill will go to the House Judiciary Committee for review.
