Tammi Lee Spofford is going to trial for her involvement in the Trooper Butterfield case.
Spofford was in court yesterday for a final hearing. Prosecutor, Paul Spaniola, offered to drop the unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle charge as long as the court sentenced her within the guidelines, for her first charge, and she testified against her son, Eric Knysz. However, Spofford refused the plea deal so she is now scheduled for a three-day trial beginning May 21st. She is also being charged with accessory after the fact.
