A Pentwater woman is being charged with embezzlement. According to the Mason County Press, 60-year-old Donna Lee Brown, is being accused of stealing almost $50,000 from the Petunia Parade board as serving chairman. Brown was chairman from November 2007 until November 2013. An investigation ensued, in November, when members of the board reported financial discrepancies to the Ludington Police Department. Brown was arraigned last Friday on charge of embezzlement of more than $20,000 and less than $50,000. She has a preliminary hearing next week.
