The Muskegon man accused of fatally running over a woman faces trial. According to Mlive.com, 21-year-old Lamarcus Deshon Calvin waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Muskegon County District Court.
Calvin is being charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing serious injury or death. On September 22nd, a shootout occurred at the Elks Charity Lodge in Muskegon, which left two dead and four injured. When trying to flee the scene, Calvin allegedly ran over 20-year-old, Jalisa Love, with his car and kept driving without reporting the incident. Love was taken to a hospital where she later died. Autopsy reports show that Love was never shot prior to being run over. Calvin is facing five years in prison.
