A homeless woman attempts suicide by driving her car into a school complex. Sometime between 10pm and shortly after midnight, the 50-year-old homeless woman drove her jeep into the south side wall of Ludington High School and OJ Middle School complex.
There was such significant damage to her vehicle that the Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to extract her. There was minimal damage to the building. The woman was originally treated at Ludington Spectrum Health Hospital but was than later transferred to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids due the injuries she sustained. Her condition is unknown at this time. Authorities believe the woman was trying to kill herself due to statements she made such as being "tired of life."
