The Elk Charity Lodge in Muskegon will no longer be in operation. Mlive.com reports that the Muskegon City Commission voted to revoke the establishments liquor and business license.
A hearing was conducted last week to decide the fate of the Lodge. This comes after September's deadly shooting that left three dead and four others injured. The fact that the club also has a pattern of violent crimes since 2010... and multiple police calls since 2003 which also played a role in the decision-making. Although the Charity Lodge has done positive things in the past... Vice Mayor of Muskegon said "underage drinking, violence and death will not be tolerated in the city."
