Firearm Season Numbers

The number of deer killed dropped during Michigan's 2013 firearm season.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, there was a 15-20% drop in the U.P. and a decline of 10% in the southern lower peninsula. Several issues are reported as the reason behind the decrease, such as weather conditions and standing corn. Although firearm season is over... hunters can still shoot a deer using a bow and arrow.
