New Law on Michigan License Plates

Michiganders will now be required to replace their license plates every ten years.

Governor Snyder signed the bill into a law on Tuesday which will prohibit the Secretary of State to renew any plates that are older than ten years, beginning in 2015. Some people still have license plates which are well over 20 years... this new law is so everyone's plates will be clear to read. Currently, the law requires readable license plates, but is only enforced by a citation from an officer.
