A little over a week after opening season and 11 wolves have been killed so far in the Upper Peninsula.

The Michigan DNR updated the information on its website this morning. It's the first hunt in the state, in 40 years, when the wolf was placed on the endangered list. 1,200 people are licensed and bag limit is one wolf per person per year. Hunting lasts through December, or until 43 wolves are killed.
