What was expected to be a routine court procedure shocked observers, yesterday afternoon. Sarah Knysz pled guilty to all charges against her in connection with the fatal shooting of a Michigan state trooper.
She is the wife of Eric Knysz, who is charged with open murder in the death of Paul Butterfield; which occurred on September 9th. The court room was packed with Michigan State Troopers, Ludington's police chief and Sheriff Kim Cole. Sarah Knysz recounted a timeline of how the events of that day unfolded. Judge Cooper did the questioning and she gave eye-witness testimony to what happened when the shots were fired and how they fled from the scene of the crime. The mother-to-be is guilty as an accessory after the fact and unlawfully driving away in a vehicle. Her sentencing will be on December 17th. Court room sources say that the Manistee County charges will likely be dropped.
