Today, Ludington will select a new major, something that hasn't happened for twelve years.
Mayor John Henderson can't run for a fourth term, even though supporters attempted to have the term limit lifted about a year ago. In 2001, Henderson defeated the one-term incumbent Carol Pomorski (PUH-MORE-SKI). She won in 1997 by defeating John Chickering, as local radio station owner. Now it's the younger candidate Ryan Cox challenging the former Ludington Police Chief, Wally Taranko. MOM news will have coverage later tonight on twitter, on our Internet home page and on our Facebook page--WMOM fm Radio.
