It’s October 1 and Ludington’s 107-year-old hospital is now officially Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
The two prominent signs in front of Ludington’s hospital, near US 10, will be changed today to as the first major sign of the transition.
The large signs arrived in Ludington late yesterday. The installation crew began making the changes at about 7:00 this morning. They expect to start with the big sign parallel to Ludington Ave., then do the one next to Atkinson Dr. and Ludington Ave.
How long it takes will depend on what they find when they start taking down the old signs. The sign crew expects to be working on the signs all day.
Some of the smaller wayfinding signs on the hospital grounds may be changed to Spectrum Health today as well.
