A marijuana investigation has come to an end in Mason County.
The State, Sheriff's, Chief's Enforcement of Narcotics Team, or SSCENT, arrested three men from Newaygo County who were growing marijuana plants on federal land in Eden Township. SSCENT officials also detained plants in Sherman and Free Soil Townships, as well as Newaygo County. A total of 420 marijuana plants were apprehended. 56-year-old Quinton Mosley Sr, 33-year-old, Quinton Mosley Jr. and 34-year-old, Daniel Whelpley, all from Hesperia, were charged with manufacturing marijuana and conspiracy to manufacture. They are currently awaiting their preliminary trials, in the Mason County Jail.
