Eric and Sarah Knysz face new charges in Manistee County.
The charges were brought against the couple yesterday in relation to the death of Michigan State Police Trooper Paul Butterfield. 19-year-old, Eric, faces five additional charges, including, receiving and concealing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle, assault with a dangerous weapon and felony firearm charges. His 20-year-old wife, Sarah, was charged with unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle. Also, new transcripts, released yesterday, show that Eric's mother, may have helped the couple get rid of the pickup truck they were driving, the night of the murder. According to reports, the three drove to a residence in Custer Township and stole a vehicle belonging to the home owner. The couple were then caught in the car at Dublin's in Manistee County. Both have a preliminary examination scheduled for October 7th.
