The Ludington City Council met yesterday evening with much to approve on their agenda.
The council approved the liquor license for the Garden Party following Friday Night Live on August 9th, which will be held from 9pm to midnight. Ludington will also now be running Pentwater's sewer treatment plant. Pentwater will provide staff to manage the plant for up to 20 hours a week. They will also give Ludington $110,000 a year to go towards sewer fund revenue. The contract runs through December of next year. And expect to see a tribute dedicated to veterans at the city park next year. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be brining the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, which is a replica of the original in D.C. The wall will contain all the names of the soldiers who passed away fighting in the Vietnam War. There will also be other wall and tent tributes, including WWII, Korean War and 9/11. Mayor Henderson, said at the meeting, last night, that this will be beneficial for the city and encouraged the council to vote yes for it... which they did. The tributes will be from August 27th to the 31st of 2014.
