MMC's Win with Wellness Program Expanding

Memorial Medical Center is expanding its community-wide Win with Wellness program to cover a three county area.

Win with Wellness was launched in February 2011 in Mason County and has evolved into a screening-based wellness initiative, providing free biometric health screenings to area residents. Starting this month, the program will be expanded to include Oceana and Lake Counties.

The screenings help improve personal health by bringing awareness to the key health indicators such as body mass index (BMI), cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure that are closely tied to chronic disease.

“Win with Wellness gives people the information they need, in a simple, easy-to-understand format so they can work with their doctor to improve and maintain their health. And the best part is that it’s all free because the hospital is committed to this,” says MMC's marketing specialist.

Win with Wellness will provide free biometric health screenings on July 12 and 13 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Ludington; on July 23 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Family Care Center in Hart; and on July 24 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at District Health Department #10 in Baldwin. The screenings are free and open to the public. To participate in the screening, you must be at least 18 years old and have a primary care physician. Pre-registration is required. To register or for questions, call (231) 845-2222 or log on to www.mmcwm.com/wellness.
