Parts of Michigan are now declared as federal disaster areas.
President Obama made the decision yesterday due to flooding. The communities will now be provided with federal funds to fix or replace anything damaged by floods. Just some of the counties include Allegan, Houghton, Ionia, Kent, Marquette, Midland, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ottawa and Saginaw. Governor Snyder commended Obama on the declaration stating that he appreciates the government's recognition and prompt response of this incident.
