The past week has brought some relief for people at the pumps. Michigan's average gas price dropped 27 cents.
According to AAA Michigan, the average price, as of yesterday, is at $3.95, compared to $4.22 from last week. Problems and maintenance projects at refineries serving Michigan and surrounding states, caused prices to skyrocket earlier this month. Fortunately, the major problems and issues are being corrected and cleared up. Presently, MichiganGasPrices.com, reports Michigan's average at $3.86, 26 cents higher than the national average. Last week the state had the second highest average, this week, it places at number five.
