Miss Michigan

A Saginaw County girl wins Miss Michigan title over the weekend.

20-year-old Haley Williams, from Saline, was given the crown on Saturday at Frauenthal Theatre in Muskegon. Williams beat 32 other contestants in the week-long competition and will be competing in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City in September.  She also won the talent and swimsuit competitions and was given a $10,000 scholarship. Some other locals that competed include Jodi Beckman of Shelby who earned the Miss America Community Service Award and Sherri Craig of Manistee who won Miss Congeniality. They both are former Miss Ludington Areas.  This was also current Miss Ludington Area, Kasey Cole's, first Miss Michigan pageant.
