Great Lakes Almost Covered in Ice

The Great Lakes are almost ice-covered. As of this past Sunday, the Great Lakes are 90.5% covered in ice, according to the Great Lakes Environment Research Laboratory in Ann Arbor. This is nearing 1979's record of 94.7%. The Climate Prediction Center says that the lakes could be fully covered if colder-than-average temperatures continue the next two weeks.
