A Whitehall teen gets a year in the Muskegon County Jail for a crash that killed two people. Mlive reports 18-year-old Jordyn Alexander Garza was given the sentence, yesterday, plus five years probation. Garza pled no contest to the accident which occurred this past August in Whitehall. Garza was driving at fast speeds, with two teenage passengers, through an alley between Mears Avenue and Division Street. Garza ran through a stop sign before losing control and crashing into a power pole and tree. The accident killed his 15-year-old cousin and gravely injured the other 16-year-old passenger... who eventually died in October from injuries sustained. Speed was the only factor in the crash.
