Eric Knysz Trial Continues

THE SECOND WEEK IN THE ERIC KNYSZ TRIAL CONTINUES TODAY. COURT BEGAN WITH AN AUDIO RECORDING OF THE SECOND INTERVIEW BETWEEN DETECTIVE SGT. GARY GREEN OF THE MICHIGAN STATE POLICE AND KNYSZ. THE RECORDING, WHICH LASTED ABOUT AN HOUR, RECOUNTS THE EVENTS OF SEPTEMBER 9TH. KNYSZ ADMITTED TO TAKING A GUN OUT WHEN TROOPER BUTTERFIELD PULLED HIM OVER, BECAUSE HE WAS WORRIED OVER HIS SUSPENDED LICENSE. HE ALSO ADMITTED TO BEING ON DRUGS AND PAINKILLERS THAT EVENING. HIS WIFE SARAH KNYSZ, WHO IS CURRENTLY SERVING A SENTENCE FOR ACCESORY TESTIFIED TODAY THAT WHEN TROOPER BUTTERFIELD APPROACHED THE TRUCK THEY WERE IN, ERIC SHOT HIM. ERIC APOLOGIZED TO HER AFTER THE FACT BUT STATED THAT HE HAD TO.

 

 

 

 

Rothbury Man Arrested

A 40 year old Rothbury man was arrested during the evening hours of February 19, 2014.  The man has been lodged at the Oceana County Jail for Aggravated Domestic Assault, Assaulting a Police Officer, and Malicious Destruction of Police Property.
