West Shore Art Fair this Weekend

The 45th annual West Shore Art Fair in Ludington will take place Saturday, July 6th & Sunday, the 7th. 

WHERE: City Park in downtown Ludington
WHEN: Saturday, June 6, 10am - 5pm / Sunday, June 7, 10am - 4pm

The Fair will feature 75-plus juried artists showcasing work across a variety of media including fiber, jewelry, clay, glass, etc

A full line up of music talent will peform throughout the weekend:

Saturday, July 6th:
2-4pm - Awesome Distraction (folk/classic rock)
Sunday, July 7th:
10-11am - Ron Johnson (jazz)
11:30am-12:30pm - Dan Haynor (folk guitarist)
1-2pm - Craig Avery (jazz)
2:30-4pm - Fremont John (contemporary blues/folk)

Just for Kids:
Arts & crafts activities
Children's Art Shopping Tent will allow kids to shop orginal art without adult supervision
Storytelling by the Mason County District Library
Musical Playground by Sandcastles Children's Museum (Saturday: 10am-2pm)
"Sand Art" tent, balloon artist, juggling entertainer, & magician/illusionist (sunday only)

Independence Day Bike Parade in Pentwater
Participants decorate bikes, strollers, wagons and pets in red, white and blue and meet at the headquarters building of Charles Mears State Park to parade past judges. Prizes given for various age categories. Charles Mears State Park, Pentwater.

Pentwater Civic Band concert 
Local and visiting musicians gather on the Pentwater Village Green Thursdays for the Pentwater Civic Band concert. Concerts are at 8pm June 27 through August 29. The band plays marches, show tunes and old-time favorites. If you play an instrument and read music, you can join the band for the evening. Bring a lawnchair or blanket to sit back and listen to the music.
